Smoke poured from a hotel near Sydney Airport this afternoon as staff and guests were evacuated.
The fumes came from the eighth floor of the Rydges Hotel and billowed over the airport terminal.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from a diesel generator but there was no fire and the all clear was given soon after.
Staff at the hotel told Daily Mail Australia the situation was under control shortly after 2pm.
Sydney Airport said flights were not affected.
